On Friday, Fort Mill faced Indian Land in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets escaped with a win against the Indian Land Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. Winning may never get old, but the Yellow Jackets sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Fort Mill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Logan Parker out in front who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Wallace Campbell, who went 6 for 11 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Despite the loss, Indian Land still got an impressive performance from Michael Jones, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 26 points. Brent Michael Terrell was another key player, putting up six points.

Fort Mill is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Indian Land, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-2.

Fort Mill will head out on the road to face off against Nation Ford at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nation Ford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Fort Mill likes a good challenge. As for Indian Land, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-50 win against Queen's Grant on the 18th.
