Rosary Academy waltzed into their matchup on Monday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They blew past the Irvine Vaqueros 14-1. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Ava Phillips looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on K'Lene Gutierrez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Huerta, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Rosary Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in six consecutive games.

Rosary Academy pushed their record up to 23-2-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Irvine, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
