Flag Football Game Preview: Crismon Rattlers vs. Tempe Buffaloes

The Crismon Rattlers will challenge the Tempe Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Crismon's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Tempe has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Thursday, Crismon made easy work of Saguaro and carried off a 28-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Rattlers, who have now won three contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Carlee Morse was her usual excellent self, rushing for 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 188 yards and two TDs. What's more, she posted two rushing touchdowns, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Crismon didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Saguaro to a completion percentage of just 36.4%. The team can thank Skylar DaCosta for the heroic effort on defense: she. Crismon hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.33 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Tempe's offense. They were dealt a 49-0 loss at the hands of Flagstaff on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Eagles are ranked tenth).

Tempe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Crismon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Crismon beat Tempe 7-0 in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. Do the Rattlers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buffaloes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
