Softball Recap: Paxton-Buckley-Loda Takes a Loss

Paxton-Buckley-Loda lost against St. Joseph-Ogden back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Spartans, falling 14-0. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendyl Badgley, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Badgley's first of the season.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Paxton-Buckley-Loda will square off against Clifton Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Comets have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they will be taking part in a tournament against Marion at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.9, the Wildcats 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
