Independence came tearing into Wednesday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Silver Creek Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 81-66. Given the 76ers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Raiders are ranked 989th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Independence pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points over those games. As for Silver Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Independence will welcome Piedmont Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Silver Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Prospect at 7:00 p.m.
