Football Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

Miller came into this matchup off a tough 31-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Fairfield Christian Academy Knights by a score of 27-25 on Friday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Miller still got an impressive performance from Zander Bice, who rushed for 146 yards and one score while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Bice also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making eight total tackles and defending one pass. Another player making a difference was Nick Thompson, who picked up 100 receiving yards and one touchdown.

A big part of Fairfield Christian Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Brayden Stem and his top target TJ Blair. Stem threw for 270 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes while Blair gained 140 total yards and four touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Stem a new career-high in rushing yards (44).

Miller is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4.
