Recap: Sunray Bobcats vs. Wheeler Mustangs
The Sunray Bobcats had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Wheeler 66-16 on the road. Considering Sunray has won nine contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Armando Lujan got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 483 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per attempt, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Damian Barragan was another key contributor, picking up 188 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Sunray pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Wheeler, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7.
Sunray will head out on the road to face off against New Home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Home is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Wheeler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
