Volleyball Recap: Kingwood Park Comes Up Short

If Kingwood Park was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Summer Creek last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Atascocita Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Kingwood Park actually scored more points across those five sets (101-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-20, 25-18, 12-25, 15-13.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Atascocita, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-5.

Coming up, Kingwood Park will face off against Aggieland HomeSchool at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Atascocita does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
