Softball Recap: Centennial's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Centennial finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Grandview Zebras. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Spartans were not able to get on the board.

Centennial saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Haynes, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Haynes has posted since back in March of 2024.

Centennial moved to 14-6 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Grandview, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Centennial will challenge Burleson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Burleson will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Centennial surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grandview, they will face off against Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grandview's pitchers better be ready for this one: Palmer has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
