Recap: Dacula Falcons vs. Eastside Eagles
The Dacula Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season. They ended the year with a bang, routing Eastside 63-38. The win was all the more spectacular given Dacula's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 70th in Georgia, while Eastside is ranked tenth in South Carolina).
Eastside lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Laila Harvey, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Kristen Mcbride was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Dacula's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 7-1.
Dacula and Bishop Kenny will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bishop Kenny is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Eastside won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rogers Heritage at 8:30 a.m. on December 29th. Rogers Heritage is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
