Softball Recap: San Manuel Takes a Loss

The San Manuel Miners came up short against the Mogollon Mustangs on Friday, falling 22-10. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Manuel got a big performance out of Cienna Maghinay, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Maghinay continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Laila Ruiz was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

San Manuel's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Mogollon, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mustangs beat San Manuel by a score of 12-8 later that day.
