Basketball Game Preview: Christopher Cougars vs. Whitney Wildcats

The Christopher Cougars and the Whitney Wildcats will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Christopher barely beat Carmel the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Padres 74-49 on Saturday. The contest marked the Cougars' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Whitney against Soquel on Saturday as the team secured a 72-34 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Knights are ranked 297th).

Christopher now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Whitney, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
