Volleyball Recap: Freeland Snags Ninth Win in Last 12 Games

Garber typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Freeland proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Dukes by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Freeland might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Garber scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 14-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Freeland has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Garber, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8-2.

Freeland and Garber should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 119th) will meet Glenn (ranked 290th) at 6:30 p.m. on October 8. Meanwhile, Garber will challenge Mt. Morris at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (68 vs. 305).
