Softball Recap: Flushing Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Flushing's offense. They came up short against the Bowne Wildcats on Friday, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Red Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Flushing's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bowne, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flushing will venture away from home to take on Bayside at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bowne, they will challenge Francis Lewis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
