Baseball Recap: Fernandina Beach Comes Up Short

Fernandina Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Peach County Trojans.

Dylan Wilkes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Fernandina Beach's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Peach County, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 21-2.

Looking ahead, Fernandina Beach will be playing in front of their home fans against Benedictine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peach County, they will square off against Camden County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
