Dillard's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amaya Montgomery, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten steals. Montgomery continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Blanche Ely's win came from a few key players that Dillard will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Teriyah Mcfadden, who shot 54% from the field on her way to 18 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 21 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Gooden, who went 8-for-13 en route to 16 points along with eight boards and four steals.
Dillard's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Blanche Ely, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Dillard has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Blanche Ely struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 32.8 boards.
