Football Recap: Seabreeze Comes Up Short

Seabreeze dropped to 4-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They had to suffer through a 41-14 loss at the hands of the Viera Hawks. The Sandcrabs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.

Although Seabreeze took the loss, they still got scores from Owen Orourke and Logan Smith.

As for Viera, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.5 points over those games.

It was another big night for Eric Nelson, who threw for 222 yards and two TDs while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 33 yards and one score.

Seabreeze didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 28-7 win against Pine Ridge on the 24th. As for Viera, they have also already played their next game, a 24-7 victory against Melbourne on the 24th.
