Oriskany came tearing into Monday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the West Canada Valley Nighthawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-2. The Skyhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Eddie Wright was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over 6.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Matthew Kernan was excellent, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jack Mason, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Oriskany was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Canada Valley only posted a batting average of .130.

Oriskany pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Canada Valley, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
