Basketball Recap: Como-Pickton Comes Up Short

Como-Pickton suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Boles Hornets and fell 84-48. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Boles' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zion Mcfadden, who went 8 for 17 en route to 17 points in addition to five boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah King, who posted 12 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.

Como-Pickton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Boles, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-13.

Como-Pickton will venture away from home to take on Cooper at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Cooper is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season. As for Boles, they will host Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Boles also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 58.1 points per game.
