It was a good run, but Etiwanda unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Gorman Gaels.

Etiwanda got a good showing from CJ Monzon, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Monzon has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Jaeden Toki made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Derick Kim, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Etiwanda's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Bishop Gorman, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Etiwanda has already played their next game, a 5-3 defeat against Mountain Ridge on the 1st. As for Bishop Gorman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against El Dorado on the 1st.
