Jamar Hicks Dazzles in South Granville Victory
Starting off the list is South Granville's Jamar Hicks, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hicks rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
J.F. Webb had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Hicks it was a similar story. When Hicks last faced the Warriors back in October of 2023, he rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

Vance County picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jontavious Nile. Nile turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 102 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Nile and Vance County will welcome J.F. Webb at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will pit Nile up against the Warriors' star rusher Josiah Daniel. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Javion Vines-Holder Turns in Season-Best Performance
Javion Vines-Holder produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Vance County to the win on Friday. Vines-Holder rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 153 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes.
Carrboro had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Vines-Holder it was a similar story. Vines-Holder threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 72 yards on only seven carries the last time he and the Jaguars duked it out back in October of 2023.

Jaydn Mcneil Has Career-Day on Friday
On Friday, South Granville got the W thanks in part to Jaydn McNeil playing the best football he has all season. McNeil rushed for 127 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making ten total tackles and defending a pass.
On the season, McNeil has averaged 30.4 rushing yards per game.
