Wenatchee is 1-9 against West Valley since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Rams at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Wenatchee's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
Wenatchee is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Davis on Friday as they made off with a 22-3 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Lauren Waligorski made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Adamarie Iniguez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Haylee Merz was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
Wenatchee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .688. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .447 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, West Valley came up short against Moses Lake on Friday, falling 10-4.
Calleigh Sinnes ?27 made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Madisen Statler ?26, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Wenatchee now has a winning record of 9-8. As for West Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Wenatchee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .376. However, it's not like West Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wenatchee suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to West Valley when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
