Basketball Recap: Douglass Academy Takes a Loss

Douglass Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-34 heartbreaker at the hands of Community Health Academy. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-37 back in December of 2024.

Douglass Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Community Health Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Douglass Academy has already played their next matchup (against Inwood Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Community Health Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on January 28th.
