Baseball Recap: St. Pius X Triumphs

St. Pius X won the last time they faced Manzano and things went their way on Saturday too. St. Pius X came out on top against Manzano by a score of 9-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sartans.

Jax Mulville was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zain Unis, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Mulville wasn't the only one working in the hit department: St. Pius X kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

St. Pius X's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Manzano, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Pius X will venture away from home to challenge Los Lunas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manzano, they will head out to square off against Rio Grande at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
