Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Heritage Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They managed a 59-53 win over the Bishop Seabury Academy Seahawks . This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Seahawks two weeks ago, they had to take a 66-60 defeat.

Heritage Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Pittman out in front who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Pittman has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Declan Schoff, who went 7 for 12 to rack up 14 points and seven rebounds.

Heritage Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Bishop Seabury Academy, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian Academy will head out to take on Bishop Ward at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Seabury Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Northland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
