Basketball Recap: St. John's/Tipton Catholic Comes Up Short on the Road Against Sacred Heart

St. John's/Tipton Catholic had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They received a blow as they fell 68-50 to the Sacred Heart Knights. The loss continues a trend for the Blujays in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost six in a row.

Edward Horinek and Dominic Eilert certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Horinek shot 53% from the field to rack up 23 points along with seven boards and three steals, while Eilert went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's/Tipton Catholic will head out to challenge Natoma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sacred Heart, they will venture away from home to square off against Clifton-Clyde at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
