Volleyball Recap: Palmdale Academy Charter School Takes a Loss

Palmdale Academy Charter School extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping them down to 1-20. They lost 3-0 to the Faith Baptist Contenders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Contenders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

As for Faith Baptist, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-20 Palmdale Academy Charter School and 9-11 St. Monica Academy.

Faith Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Faith Orquiola led the charge by getting six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Orquiola has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Keira Correos, who had six digs and four aces.

Coming up, Palmdale Academy Charter School will take on St. Monica Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Baptist has already played their next match (against The Palmdale Aerospace Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
