Otter Valley has gone 8-2 against Springfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Otters will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cosmos at 4:30 p.m. Otter Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
On Friday, Otter Valley made easy work of Fair Haven and carried off a 14-2 victory. Considering the Otters have won five games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Sophie Parker was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Leann Thomas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ella Otto, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Springfield came up short against Bellows Falls on Saturday, falling 16-6. The Cosmos haven't had much luck with the Terriers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Otter Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Otter Valley got the 'W' in their previous meeting two weeks ago against Springfield by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Otters have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cosmos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
