Basketball Recap: Walsenburg Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Walsenburg challenged Swink on Thursday. The Panthers fell 56-46 to the Lions. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 16-11 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Walsenburg still got an impressive performance from Landon Eccher, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten boards. The game was Eccher's third in a row with at least 19 points. Mariano Bobian also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Walsenburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Swink, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.
