Basketball Recap: Southeast Alamance Beats Cummings for Their Fifth Straight Win

Southeast Alamance had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They strolled past the Cummings Cavaliers with points to spare, taking the game 58-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Stallions also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Leading Southeast Alamance to victory were Brandon Mcadoo and James Kenan. Mcadoo went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points, while Kenan posted 11 points along with six assists and five boards. That's the most points Mcadoo has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Drew Easter, who earned six points and five rebounds.

Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trey Harris, who scored seven points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Long, who put up 11 points.

Southeast Alamance's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Cummings, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Southeast Alamance wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 32-31 defeat against Chatham Central on the 17th. As for Cummings, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-47 loss against Jordan-Matthews on the 17th.
