Volleyball Recap: Hilliard Davidson Comes Up Short

Hilliard Davidson managed to slip by Olentangy Liberty the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Patriots on Thursday. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 27-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Elle Eckert paced Hilliard Davidson's offense, picking up 15 kills. Eckert got some help from Charlotte Schulte and her 12 assists.

Hilliard Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Olentangy Liberty, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Hilliard Davidson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Lincoln on the 20th. As for Olentangy Liberty, they will square off against Olentangy Orange at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
