Soccer Recap: Sparks Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sparks's offense. They came up short against the South Tahoe Vikings on Tuesday, falling 21-0. While losing is never fun, Sparks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 74th in Nevada, while South Tahoe are ranked 15th in California).

Sparks' loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for South Tahoe, they pushed their record up to 13-3-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Sparks has already played their next contest, a 7-0 defeat against Incline on the 16th. As for South Tahoe, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against North Tahoe on the 17th.
