Softball Game Preview: L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders vs. Utica Eisenhower Eagles

The L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders are taking a road trip to take on the Utica Eisenhower Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. L'Anse Creuse North has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

L'Anse Creuse North lost 11-1 to Romeo on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Utica Eisenhower). Everything went their way against Sterling Heights Stevenson on Thursday as they made off with a 12-1 win. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24th (when they won 11-0).

The victory made it two in a row for Utica Eisenhower and bumps their season record up to 6-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for L'Anse Creuse North, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15.

L'Anse Creuse North took their victory against Utica Eisenhower in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 23-12 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
