Basketball Recap: Christ the King Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Christ the King extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Marco Tampoya. The Christ the King Crusaders snuck past the Bradford Prep Bears with a 73-68 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Tampoya, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 22 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Bradford Prep lost, don't look at Esaias Caves. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 8 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Hanson, who posted 13 points and four steals.

Christ the King now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bradford Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Community School of Davidson the next time they take the court. Bradford Prep will host Community School of Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Christ the King will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
