Volleyball Recap: Pawnee City Gets the Win

Pawnee City won the last time they faced Lewiston and things went their way on Thursday too. The Indians came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0.

Pawnee City easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20.

Kinsley Benson paced Pawnee City's offense, picking up six kills. Benson got some help from Shayla Puhalla and her 12 assists. Puhalla was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The win got Pawnee City back to even at 1-1. As for Lewiston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pawnee City will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Dorchester at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewiston, they will face off against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
