Baseball Recap: Washingtonville Takes a Loss

Washingtonville lost against Cornwall Central two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wizards fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 4-3. The Wizards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bryce Tesseyman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Washingtonville's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-2 (and 1-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Andrew Dempsey, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Washingtonville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Cornwall Central, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

As of now, neither Washingtonville nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
