Football Recap: Clint Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Mountain View came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Clint, but Isaac Rocha wouldn't allow it. The Lions walked away with a 28-20 win over the Lobos on Friday with plenty of help from Rocha, who rushed for 102 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, making eight total tackles, and defending three passes.

Brandon Quezada was another key player, rushing for 128 yards on only 11 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102 rushing yards per game.

The victory was the third in a row for Clint, bringing their record up to 3-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.7 points on average over those games. As for Mountain View, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clint will face off against rival Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 907 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Mountain View is set to challenge their familiar foe Irvin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
