Harbor put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Monterey Dores. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Dores walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Harbor had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 23-25, 25-11, 25-13, 16-14.

Harbor's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Monterey, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Harbor is taking a road trip to challenge Soquel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monterey will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Aragon at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
