Volleyball Recap: Lowell Red Devils vs. Illiana Christian Vikings

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lowell can now relate to. They came up short against the Illiana Christian Vikings on Saturday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-6, 25-10.

Illiana Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Huynh out in front who had 11 digs. Huynh is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Bercot, who had five aces.

Lowell's defeat dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Illiana Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Lowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Illiana Christian, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Hammond Bishop Noll at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hammond Bishop Noll will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Illiana Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
