Softball Recap: Thornton Takes a Loss

Thornton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 22-8 to the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 18-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Johna Vazquez and Taylor Woods did some serious damage despite the final result: Vazquez scored two runs and stole three bases, while Woods scored a run and stole three bases. With that strong performance, Woods is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game.
