Baseball Recap: Diman RVT Takes a Loss

If Diman RVT was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Upper Cape Cod RVT last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bengals fell 7-4 to the Durfee Hilltoppers on Friday. The Bengals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Cam Falcon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Perreira, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Diman RVT dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Durfee, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Diman RVT will face off against Dartmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Durfee, they will take on Weymouth at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hilltoppers 4, the Wildcats 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
