Soccer Recap: Santa Fe South's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

If Santa Fe South was feeling good fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Grant two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Santa Fe South fell just short of the Northwest Classen Knights by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Santa Fe South came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while Northwest Classen are ranked 25th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Santa Fe South fell to 6-1. As for Northwest Classen, their record is now 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Fe South will venture away from home to square off against Yukon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Yukon will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Santa Fe South surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northwest Classen, they will head out on the road to take on Edmond North at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
