Hillcrest hasn't had much luck against Skyline recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Hillcrest will be playing in front of their home fans against Skyline at 3:00 p.m. Hillcrest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Hillcrest lost 9-3 to Mountain Home on Saturday.

Bowen Croft made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. Mason Reichelt was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Skyline came up short against Boise on Saturday and fell 7-3.

Skyline saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Nahay, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Hillcrest couldn't quite get it done against Skyline when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can Hillcrest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
