It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Sullivan ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They skirted past the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights  13-12. For the Redskins, this counts as revenge for the   6-4 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2024.
The team  relied heavily on  Harmony Ray, who  went 3-for-6 with one  home run and three  RBI.  Taylar Mercer also deserves some recognition as  she  launched her first  home run of the season.
 Ray wasn't the only one working in the  home run department: Sullivan  lost a few balls and  finished the game with four  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
Sullivan's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 10-6. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, their  defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-9.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sullivan will face off against Meridian at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so the Redskins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, they will take on Tuscola at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
