Baseball Recap: Chamberlain Comes Up Short

Chamberlain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Wharton Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 two weeks ago.

Chamberlain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brihan Arteaga Diaz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Benjamin Garcia also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Chamberlain's record now sits at 1-16. As for Wharton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chamberlain will venture away from home to face off against Bloomingdale at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bloomingdale's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so Chamberlain's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wharton, they are taking a road trip to challenge Leto at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
