Oconee County came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the North Oconee Titans. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

Oconee County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Petra Mooney paced Oconee County's offense, picking up 16 kills. Mooney got some help from Fendley Kimbro and her 28 assists. Kimbro was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Oconee County's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for North Oconee, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Oconee County and North Oconee should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Warriors will take on Greenbrier at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (34 vs. 221). Meanwhile, North Oconee (ranked 14th) will meet South Gwinnett (ranked 275th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
