Game recap: Marietta can't stop Davis' winning streak

Davis (Okla.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 63-6 victory over Marietta (Okla.) on Saturday.

The Wolves were up 42-6 at the half after taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter.

Davis expanded its lead to 50 points entering the fourth quarter. DHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Blake Summers touchdown run.

Alec Hetherington played well for the Wolves in the victory. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 10 touchdowns on the season.

The Indians' lone touchdown came on a 20-yard pass in the first quarter.



Davis came into the game allowing 3.8 points per game.

When the two teams played each other last season, DHS came away with a 56-0 victory.

Marietta (1-5) will play a 2A District 4 game against Kingston next week, while Davis (6-0) will take on Kingston also in a 2A District 4 game.
