Softball Game Preview: Duncan Wildkats vs. San Carlos Braves

The Duncan Wildkats will venture away from home to take on the San Carlos Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Duncan's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.

On Thursday, Duncan was able to grind out a solid victory over Fort Thomas, taking the game 11-6.

Reymia Contreras spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Sierra Chamberlin was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Paisley Patton, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Duncan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, San Carlos lost 18-2 to Pima on Wednesday. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Carlos' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Duncan, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
