Volleyball Recap: Belmont Gets the Win

The Belmont Bison had just enough and edged out the Ponitz Career Tech Golden Panthers 3-2 on Monday.

Belmont was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-13, 18-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Arturion Brown paced Belmont's offense, picking up 13 kills. Brown got some help from Kashad Randall and his seven assists. Trenton Pate controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The victory got Belmont back to even at 1-1. As for Ponitz Career Tech, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Belmont is set to face off against their familiar foe Trotwood-Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Ponitz Career Tech will take on rival Troy Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
