Basketball Recap: Webutuck Takes a Loss

Webutuck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Millbrook Blazers, falling 58-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-32 two weeks ago.

Millbrook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Collin Hay led the charge by going 7 of 9 en route to 14 points and six boards. Alex Lacasse was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Webutuck's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Millbrook, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Webutuck didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-43 loss against Pine Plains on the 28th. Millbrook has also already played their next game, a 59-37 defeat against Mount Academy on the 28th.
